Just days after a lady killed herself because her friends were getting married and no man was ready to marry her, this 42-year-old American woman named Beautiful Existence has spent as much as $7,000 (£5,000) on a trip to Paris - where she ended up getting married to herself.

Beautiful Existence from Seattle - who changed her name from Desiree Longabaugh - splashed the cash on a romantic ceremony under the Eiffel Tower, flights to France, accommodation for a week, and a birthday celebration while there. 

The bride, who works in social media and marketing, wore a casual white dress, claiming to be happy.
