See How Tinubu Humbled Ben Bruce With "Common Sense"

One politician whose political sagacity is like that of Olusegun Obasanjo is the National Leader of the APC, Asiwaju Bola Tinubu. Give him and microphone; he will give you something to take home.

A mild drama played out at the Silverbird Man Of The Year Awards Ceremony held on Sunday. Soon after Ben Bruce finished his "common sense" talks, Asiwaju had an opportunity to speak.

Tinubu reacted thus: “Senator Murray-Bruce, I have a common sense solution to the issues you have raised especially regarding preserving our history. 

"You had a reason to complain before (when you were not in government) but not any more. You are in the Senate now just sponsor a bill that will reinstate History in Nigerian Schools. The whole venue erupted in applause.

Tinubu went further to ask one of his men, Senator Solomon Olamilekan (aka Yayi) if he would support such a bill, the APC Senator representing Lagos West responded in the affirmative. 

The APC leader then turned to Ben Bruce and said “Ben, the ball is now in your court”.
