Aisha Buhari Moves Into Presidential Villa

The wife of the President, Aisha Buhari, is reported to have moved into the Presidential Villa, Abuja, almost three weeks after the inauguration of President Muhammadu Buhari.

Since the inauguration of May 29, President and Vice President, Buhari and Yemi Osinbajo, have been operating from their private residences in the Defence House, and Maitama District, Abuja, respectively.

According to Punch Newspapers, Mrs. Buhari officially relocated to the Presidential Villa on Thursday, June 18, when her husband was shuttling from Kaduna to Katsina.

A Presidency official was quoted to have said that: “Hajia (Buhari) arrived here (Presidential Villa) with her entourage at about 6pm on Thursday. She had relocated ahead of her husband. She passed the night here.”

The President is expected to join his wife at the Presidential Villa this weekend when he arrives from his trip to Katsina.
